The popular actor recalled what Toyin did to him when they were still living together while speaking to the Punch Newspaper about how he did not acquire weight even after marriage. ‘It’s because I exercise on a regular basis.’
It isn’t because my wife doesn’t cook for me; she does, in fact, enjoys cooking for me, but I exercise every day. I recall an incident that occurred at the house some time ago. My wife had to pack and hide my jogging gear. I searched the entire home but did not find it; I had no idea she had hidden it in one of the kitchen cupboards. I eventually noticed it, and she said that she had hidden it because I am not overweight and that I still exercise every day to burn calories.
I like to stay in shape, and I’ve noticed that once an actor marries, he has a tendency to gain weight and lose shape. I lift weights even though I am not muscular. I also keep track of what I consume; I can’t eat solid food late at night, for example. Even when I’m on location, I’ll jog around the hotel 8-10 times before anyone else gets up. I’ve been doing it for years and it’s become a part of me.

I wear anything that is comfortable. If I am attending a red carpet event and I feel like wearing a T-shirt and jeans, I opt for that. I wear what I am proud of so that when I step out, I would feel comfortable enough to talk to my colleagues. Very soon I would be doing strictly African attires, especially on the red carpet.
